DEAR PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA:
Jonathan Pollard placed me and every other American at risk when he channeled over 1 million top-secret documents to Israel. Reporter Seymour Hersh reports that many of the stolen documents likely ended up in the Soviet Union.
Israel never returned the stolen documents or cooperated with the U.S. investigation of the espionage incident. New details of the enormity of this crime against the U.S. and the true size of Israel’s military/ industrial/nuclear espionage network targeting the U.S. are still emerging.
Please uphold rule of law in America. Don’t pardon Pollard! Let Pollard seek parole instead! I demand Pollard sentence reduction considerations be subject to a binding national security review to protect me and my family!

On Oct. 15, 2010 Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard filed a 51-page application for commutation of sentence to the U.S. Pardon Attorney. Although Pollard can seek a reduction in sentence through normal parole channels, he has refused to do so. His supporters argue that a parole hearing would involve a binding national security review with input from the FBI, Defense Department and U.S. counter-intelligence officials. So a broad public relations campaign is now underway, with TV commercials arguing that the U.S. had no right to withhold the information Pollard stole since under a 1983 Memorandum of Understanding it was “vital to Israel’s security.” Pollard has expressed little public contrition for his crimes.
U.S. presidents have a long election-time history of pardoning Americans convicted of serious crimes for Israel, including Charles Winters, Adolph Schwimmer, Marc Rich and Hank Greenspun. This leaves the impression that campaign contributions outweigh justice. Former CIA case officer Frank Anderson argues that countries use “false flag” operations to obtain U.S. secrets, meaning there is no such thing as harmless leaks to “friendly” countries. Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld says freeing Pollard would “send the wrong message that such behavior is acceptable.” A pardon could unleash a new wave of Israeli military/industrial/nuclear espionage against the U.S. The proper venue for any Pollard sentence reduction is a parole board, not a presidential pardon!
Don't Pardon Pollard! Pollard can Seek Parole!
